Handling high voltage is the task an ignition coil must perform reliably. The ignition coil provides high voltage to the spark plug that spark and ignites the air-fuel mixture to run the engine. Weak ignition coils cause engine misfiring and performance problems. In the worst case, it may even leading to engine failure if neglected.
